Privacy Policy — Crimson Bible

Effective date: June 11, 2026

Crimson Bible is built to work entirely on your device. Our privacy policy is simple because our data practices are simple: we do not collect your data.

What we collect

Nothing. Crimson Bible has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no third-party services. We never see your searches, your reading history, your notes, or anything else about you.

What stays on your device

Everything you create in the app — bookmarks, highlights, notes, reading-plan progress, and settings — is stored only on your device (and in your personal iCloud backup if you have device backups enabled, which we cannot access).

Optional search log. Settings includes an off-by-default "Keep private search log" option. If you turn it on, your searches are recorded in a log *on your device only*, to help you (or the developer, if you choose to share an export) improve search quality. It is never transmitted anywhere automatically. You can view its size, export it explicitly via the system share sheet, or clear it at any time.

Network access

The app makes no network requests of its own. The only downloads are optional Bible translations and study content, delivered by Apple's App Store infrastructure (On-Demand Resources) when you tap a download button. Those requests are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; we receive no information about them.

Children's privacy

Crimson Bible collects no data from anyone, including children. The app is rated 4+.

Content licensing

Bible texts (King James Version, American Standard Version, World English Bible, Reina-Valera 1909, Almeida Corrigida Fiel, Chinese Union Version, Smith & Van Dyke, Ang Dating Biblia), Treasury of Scripture Knowledge cross-references, and Strong's Concordance are in the public domain. Topical verse data is from the OpenBible.info Topical Bible, licensed under CC-BY 4.0.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices ever change, this page and the app's App Store listing will be updated before the change takes effect, and the effective date above will be revised.
